VESTIGIUM : ʻĀina

ʻĀina

Hawaiian Landscapes

ʻĀina is a black-and-white study of land shaped by time, growth, and quiet passage. These works observe places where natural structure and human intervention coexist—where ridgelines, canopies, and corridors reveal scale without spectacle. Color is removed to reduce distraction, allowing form and permanence to remain.

Statement

Why black & white. Why restraint.

Collection Statement

ʻĀina considers land not as scenery, but as structure. The works focus on passages, spans, and canopies—elements that suggest movement, shelter, and endurance without depicting human figures.

Each work in this collection exists as a singular object. Once placed, it will not be recreated.
